그림용 패드가 없어도 이미 가지고 있는 태블릿 PC를 이용할 수 있으면 좋겠다고 생각했어요.We thought it would be useful if you could draw with the tablet PC you already own instead of needing a separate drawing pad.

JDraw Studio를 만들면서 가장 중요하게 생각한 것 중 하나는 진입 비용이었어요. 학생이나 처음 그림을 시작하는 사람에게 별도의 장비를 먼저 구매하라고 요구하고 싶지 않았습니다.One of the biggest considerations while building JDraw Studio was the cost of getting started. We did not want students or first-time artists to be told they had to buy another piece of hardware before they could begin.
PC와 태블릿 PC를 연결하기Connecting the PC and tablet
태블릿 PC에서 펜의 위치와 입력 정보를 받아 PC의 JDraw Studio로 전달하는 구조를 만들었습니다. 현재는 같은 로컬 네트워크에서 무선으로 연결하는 방식을 사용합니다.We built a system that receives pen position and input data from the tablet PC and sends it to JDraw Studio on the computer. The current implementation connects wirelessly over the same local network.
편리함보다 연결을 알 수 있게Make the connection visible, not invisible
기기 연동은 편리하지만 네트워크 기능이기도 해요. 그래서 사용자가 기능을 직접 실행했을 때만 연결되고, 신뢰할 수 있는 네트워크에서 사용하는 것을 권장하는 방향으로 설계하고 있습니다.Device linking is convenient, but it is still a network feature. That is why the design connects only when the user explicitly starts the feature and recommends using it on a trusted network.
